Turn unused land into a place where healing can begin.
In the aftermath of the 2023 Maui wildfires, we were able to access emergency sites to respond quickly, transforming unused parcels into housing for families who had lost everything. Since then, we’ve continued to identify opportunities across the islands to build communities that bring stability and hope.
Whether through donation or lease, our team explores each possibility with care. Many conversations come with goals or expectations, like preserving part of the land or ensuring long-term community benefit. We take those intentions seriously and approach each opportunity with honesty and respect.
As a nonprofit community builder, we do not build for profit. Any rental income is reinvested directly into the community, ensuring long-term benefits for those we serve.
Guided by Native Hawaiian principles and a deep sense of kuleana, each effort begins with respect for the ʻāina and those connected to it. Local leaders and cultural advisors help shape the vision by offering insight into the history and needs of each place. Their guidance ensures that what is built serves the present, honors the past, and reflects the community it belongs to.
