Schedule a Tour

Join us for a guided tour at a kauhale village and learn more about this community-based model and how it's creating stability for those transitioning out of homelessness.

See how kauhale comes to life.

Site visits are designed for policymakers, builders, donors, and prospective partners who want a deeper understanding of how housing, design, and community support come together. Each tour offers an inside look at our development process, from HomeAid Hawai‘i’s role as the lead kauhale developer to the design of our tiny home units. Visitors step inside communal kitchens, bathrooms, and gathering spaces to see how kauhale communities are thoughtfully built to support dignity and connection.

As we walk the site, we share how the land is transformed, how builders and community partners help bring each village to life, and explain how tools like emergency proclamations and cost-saving strategies make deeply affordable housing possible.

While every kauhale is different, tours are only available at select locations based on resident privacy and site readiness. HomeAid Hawai‘i is not a service provider, but we can share general information about support services and the broader goals of the statewide Kauhale Initiative.
