In the months after the Lahaina wildfires, everything felt uncertain.
“There was so much uncertainty the summer before we moved into Ka La‘i Ola. That two and a half years… it was like a marathon.”
After a loss like that, the most important thing is a steady foundation. Ka La‘i Ola gave Arica Lynn and her family the chance to breathe, regain their footing, and focus on what came next.
“Finding a place that would accept us and that we could financially make it work for our rebuild was an absolute miracle.”
Today, their Lahaina home is rebuilt, and their next chapter is underway.
“To finally be home and be able to cook a meal in an oven, and have the kids in their actual bedroom and us in our own bedroom—it was really special to feel like we were back home, where we belong.”
