Spectrum is one of the nation's leading broadband connectivity companies, providing internet, mobile, and communications services that help people stay connected to work, education, healthcare, and each other.
As communities across Hawaiʻi continue to recover from disaster and housing instability, Spectrum has partnered with HomeAid Hawaiʻi to ensure residents have access to the technology and connectivity needed to rebuild their lives and create new opportunities.
Spectrum has contributed an estimated $250,000 in infrastructure installation support for Ka Laʻi Ola, Maui's largest interim housing community for wildfire survivors, along with $10,000 toward the community's completion celebration. The company also contributed funds to establish computer labs at Kīpūola Kauhale in Kahului and Ke Kauhale ʻo Luhia in Waimānalo.
Spectrum's support has helped strengthen communities across Hawaiʻi. At Ka Laʻi Ola, their installation support contributed to a community that now houses up to 1,500 wildfire survivors. That means residents can begin rebuilding their lives in a place that feels like home, with reliable internet access that helps them manage daily needs and move forward without unnecessary disruption.
At Kīpūola Kauhale and Ke Kauhale ʻo Luhia, Spectrum's computer labs serve two communities that together include 84 homes, helping residents stay connected and access tools for education and employment.
By investing in both technology and access, Spectrum is helping residents create pathways to a stronger future.
