Kevin Carney is a founding Board Member of HomeAid Hawai‘i and a longtime Oahu resident with over 40 years of Hawai‘i real estate development and management experience throughout the islands. He is the owner of Affordable Housing Connections, a consulting company he recently opened after 25 years of service with EAH Housing, a non-profit developer and manager of affordable rental apartments. Kevin opened the EAH office in Hawai‘i in 1997 with the acquisition of 2 projects totaling 499 units. Upon retirement EAH grew to 26 properties on 3 islands for a total of 2,336 units.

Kevin holds a Hawai‘i Real Estate Broker’s License, an MBA from Chaminade University and many designations related to the affordable housing industry. An active member of the community Kevin is a former President of Housing Hawai‘i and is active in the following organizations: Stand Up Maui, founding Board Member, Urban Land Institute, Lambda Alpha International and the Metropolitan Rotary Club of Honolulu (a 3-time Past President of Rotary).

A former Navy Chief Petty Officer and Naval Officer with over 38 years of active and reserve service, Commander Carney retired from Special Operations Command, Pacific, Detachment 620 in 2006. As the Commanding Officer of Detachment 620 and Deputy Director of Operations for the Command, Kevin was recalled to active duty shortly after September 11, 2001, and spent 2 years supporting our Special Operations Forces.

Kevin is a diehard dancer (good ole rock n roll) and gym rat and when not at the gym you can find him riding his bicycle around Kailua Town.
