Michael Young is the President and CEO of Albert C. Kobayashi, Inc., a 100% employee-owned Hawai‘i general contractor. As a licensed civil engineer and the RME for ACK, he oversees all strategy, operations, and financials for the organization.

Michael is born and raised in Hawai‘i and is a graduate of Iolani School, Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and B.S. in Economics, and Stanford University with an M.S. in Construction Engineering and Management. He is involved with various community organizations, serving on the boards of HomeAid Hawaiʻi, Child and Family Service, General Contractors Association of Hawaii, Capitol Place AOAO, and the Carpenter’s Union Trust Fund Health and Welfare and New Retiree Medical committees. He is also a Pacific Century Fellow and member of the Young’s President’s Organization.

Michael’s hobbies include tennis, golf, and spending time with his wife and three children.
